I AM MUSLIM NOT A TERRORIST | OPEN ARMS , A YOUNG MUSLIM WANTS TO DROP THE AMALGAM WITH HUGS . AN INVITATION TO THE BROTHERHOOD AFTER ATTACKS OF 13 November
We act as we are and we are what we are , right? Obviously we say ! But it thickens when others act in ” our name ” . The attacks in Paris have given birth to fear – and risk – of the amalgam. And for Muslims fear of being treated as terrorists and other extremist Islamist Daesh . To avoid all these odd , what better than brotherhood to fight terror? And kisses ?
I am Muslim but I am told that I am a terrorist
Monday night amid people coming to pray at Republic Square same time a man stands motionless, blindfolded and open arms. This young Muslim came to distribute the hugs , embraces and confidence . Two placards were placed at his feet which were describing his intentions : ” I am Muslim and I am told that I am a terrorist,” on one and ” I trust you , Do you Trust Me ? Give Me a Hug” on the other.
Alternately passers-by, relatives of victims , French or not, but above all human beings have shown their love and that violence has nothing to do with Islam by taking the young man in their arms.
A powerful and moving moment inspired by a Canadian -led initiative in January after the attacks of Charlie Hebdo.
