9 homemade tips for glowing skin in winter!

Winters are often associated with chapping skin, dry or dull skin, blemishes and patches on the face. There is hardly any age of a person that is spared by these few months when their beauty always takes a plunge. Are you also concerned about your winter skin? Here are 9 homemade tips for glowing skin in winter.

Turmeric

Curcumin, a component of turmeric, is a potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory. It assists in removing damaging free radicals that affect the skin. Additionally, it enhances collagen synthesis and maintains your skin soft and radiant. Skin is left clean and radiant after being gently cleansed with gram flour.

Tip: You will need half to 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder, 4 tablespoons gram flour and milk. You can also use rose water and simply water. Mix the turmeric powder with gram flour. Add milk or water to make a fine paste. Apply this paste on your face and neck. Leave it on for 15-20 minutes. Wash off with plain water. Do this 1-2 times a week.

Coconut oil

The greatest skin types for this cure are dry and dull. In addition to nourishing the skin with important fatty acids, coconut oil helps the skin maintain moisture. Additionally, it strengthens the skin barrier function and shields your skin from UV rays (although it cannot take the place of sunscreen). These elements can all help your skin glow.

Tip: You just need virgin coconut oil for this remedy. Heat up the oil slightly and apply it your face and neck. Massage it for a few minutes in circular motions and against the gravity. Leave it on for whole night. For exfoliation, you can add sugar to the oil. Use it as a scrub to exfoliate your skin once or twice a week.

Aloe Vera

Aloe vera gel rejuvenates the skin and provides nourishing and healing properties to the skin that give it a natural glow.

Tip: You will need 1 tablespoon aloe vera gel, a pinch of turmeric, 1 teaspoon honey and 1 teaspoon milk. Mix all these ingredients and apply the mixture to the face and neck. Keep it on for about 20 minutes and then rinse it with lukewarm water. Apply this face pack for once or twice a week.

Homemade Tips for Glowing skin in winter

Cucumber

The skin is cooled by cucumber. Due to its antioxidants, it regenerates and revitalizes tired skin. Additionally, it lessens swelling and evens out skin tone.

Tip: You will need 1 small cucumber and 2-3 tablespoons yogurt. Grate the cucumber and add yogurt. Make a paste and apply it all over your neck and face. Leave it on for almost 5 minutes until it dries and then wash it off with cold water. Apply it once every 3-4 days.

Honey

Honey has moisturizing and soothing properties. Your skin is moisturized, wrinkles are less likely to emerge, and you seem younger. This is one of the most used home remedies for glowing skin.

Tip: You just need honey for this remedy. Honey should be evenly applied to clean and damp skin. Massage it in circular motions for at least 5 minutes and leave it on for almost 5 minutes. Wash it off with lukewarm water. For best results, apply this every alternate day.

Papaya

Papain, an enzyme that works as a mild exfoliant, is found in ripe papaya. This makes your skin look more beautiful and youthful by gently removing some dead skin cells from the top layer of your face.

Fuller earth evens out skin tone, clears pores of oil and impurities, and enhances the complexion. The skin is naturally hydrated by honey, a natural moisturizer. It also lessens skin imperfections. This mask has anti-aging and firming properties.

Tip: You will need a few pieces of ripe papaya, make paste of papaya pieces add 1 teaspoon Fuller’s earth and a teaspoon of honey to it. Mix all these ingredients to make a gel-like consistency. Apply this mask all over your face and neck.  After 20 minutes, leave it on and then rinse with cool water.

Orange peel

Orange peel powder helps prevent melanin formation. Your skin may appear lighter and more luminous as a result of this. This is one of the best homemade tips for glowing skin in winter that will definitely work!

Tip: You will need few pieces of orange peel and 2 teaspoons of rose water. Grind the orange peel and add rose water in it to make a paste. Apply it all over your face and keep it on for 15 minutes. Rinse if off with cold water. Apply this mask for once a week.

Olive oil

Olive oil moisturizes the skin well and gives it a healthy sheen. Its flavonoids and polyphenols shield the skin from oxidative damage and free radicals. It heals the skin and makes it healthy and radiant.

Tip: You will need a tablespoon of olive oil, a small towel and Luke warm water. Take few drops of olive oil and massage your face and neck with it for 2-3 minutes. Massage in upward circular motion. Then dip the towel in Luke warm water, take out the excess water and put in on your face for 40-45 seconds.

Rice flour

This is one of my favorite homemade tips for glowing skin in winter. Rice is excellent source of Vitamin B which helps in improving the skin quality. Raw milk has skin-friendly nutrients such as proteins, calcium and vitamin C. Glycerin is an excellent natural moisturizer. Vitamin E add glow to the skin.

Tip: You will need 1 tablespoon rice flour, 1 tablespoon plain flour, 1 tablespoon milk, few drops of glycerin and 1 Vitamin E capsule.

Mix all these ingredients and make a thick paste. Apply it all over your face and neck for at least 15 minutes. Then rinse it off with lukewarm water.
